Our AGM at Corks restaurant

With a special thanks to our outgoing president

At the opening of our meeting Christian asked that the members join him in thanking Patti for being such a great President over the past 5 years. Richard Birkett presented Patti with a token of our appreciation for her presidency, which was handcrafted by Richard himself. Christian also presented the youngest “member” Timothy Wong with a Bordeaux to be enjoyed upon his 21st birthday, which was accepted on his behalf by his Mom, Erin Culbert. Those present proceeded to enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by Corks and paired wines chosen by Christian. A plaque was also presented to the Cork’s chef. At the end of the evening Patti was bestowed with the IWFS Silver Medal for her outstanding service to the chapter presented by Tom Alton and Christian.

Tapas – warm medley of olives corks hand cut fries oven roasted beet salad with Valedon blue cheese for each table
2nd course
Tapas – albinodigas (lamb meatballs in a minted tomato sauce ) and oven roasted root vegetables drizzled with rosemary rhyme honey for each table followed by
3rd course
Choice of the following entrees:
Classic paella (saffron Bombay rice chorizo,chicken ,calamari , mussels ) or seared Atlantic salmon with fresh arugula and mint aioli or flat iron steak with a peppercorn Demi sauce
Dessert
churro (classic Spanish dough )
Coffee or Tea
