Well it seems that Richard and James and Garry and Tom made a deal with you know who and arranged for an absolutely glorious autumn day. Departing Oakville promptly ensured for a full day of tasting the wonderful offerings of:
- Penninsula Ridge
- Redstone
- Angel’s Gate
- Rosewood
- Fielding Wines
A light lunch was served at our second winery – Redstone – of dressed salads and wood-fired pizza overlooking the fields beyond. Clerical difficulties with our purchases resulted in a brief delay however Garry was in contact with our dinner chef so no harm was done. Costa Blanca with the setting for dinner – which was quite a find. After hor’s d’oevres and sparkling we sat down to a mushroom bisque, stuffed cornish hen, finishing with peach creme brule. Very satisfying after a long day of tasting. Many, many thanks to those who took the photos (and there are many) and of course many thanks to our four “musk”-a-teers for doing such a tremendous job planning.
