This champagne was a hybrid event – not just a tasting….. but not a dinner either. Catering was provided by Flyecatering….. one of our favourites.
We are also had a special guest…… our event will be Lead by Liz Palmer author of The Ultimate Guide to Champagne (published 2 years ago). “Dame Chevalier” of the Ordre de Côteaux de Champagne. In addition, Liz Palmer’s book, The Ultimate Guide to Champagne” was given to our members.
Champagnes that were tasted with associated appitizers:
Lacroix-Triaulaire NV Brut (from our cellar) – brie & peach crostini with roquefort & field honey. —– fresh watermelon cube with elderflower, apple-cucumber slaw & candied ginger.
J. de Telmont Grande Reserve Brut NV – tuna poke with herbed russet chips and fresh parsley – vegetable spring roll
J. de Telmont Blanc de Blanc 2010 – mini chicken parmesan lollipops with marinara dipping sauce
Henriet-Bazin Selection de Parcelles 1er Cru – lobster petit-fours….butter poached lobster set on roasted potato cubes with avocado puree & tarragon
Delouvin-Bagnost NV 70% Pinot Meunier – rare thinly sliced grilled beef tenderloin swirled on mini yorkshire puddings with horseradish cream & pomegranate
Jean Pernet. NV – Dessert bites…. homemade macarons
