Anyone with a fondness for dramatic flare, would have loved this year’s holiday event. To begin with, it was held in the wine cellar of one of our local wineries. The 20 Valley Winery is a little gem in our corner of the world and we were so pleased when we secured the wine cellar for our event. As expected the wines were fabulous and the food superb; that goes without saying. But the way the room was decorated with winter bows and glowing candles was just divine.
To top it all off we had an unexpected visit from our Jolly Christmas Witch. Each member had the opportunity to pull a coin and toss it into the well. In return the old crone would palm you a a wish. Perhaps it was something you were hoping to hear, perhaps it was a complete surprise, but it was all in good fun. Our giggling witch brought some fun and frivolity between courses.
